It was one individual's kind deed, a small dedicated donation, that inspired Richard Moore, founder of the Friends of Rye Wurlitzer charity, to create the Rye Wurlitzer Academy (RWA). Richard's vision was that everything should be FREE to the students. Every student would be given a FREE home practise organ (kindly donated by local supporters), FREE music, and above all else, FREE tuition with a professional music teacher. Of course, whilst these benefits are free to the students, there is still a cost to the organisation, the Rye Wurlitzer Academy. We believe the Academy is the only project of its kind in the entire world. The RWA has achieved great things in a short space of time, but in order for this valuable scheme to be able to continue, we need to find reliable sources of funding, which will transform our project into a permanent feature and will allow it to grow in so many ways. If you feel able to offer financial support to this scheme, taking our musical heritage to new generations, please use one of the links below.
